The UT School of Art is pleased to announce that Pablo Helguera. Director of Adult and Academic Programs at the Museum of Modern Art in New York will present two lectures.
On Thursday March 6, 7:30pm: lecture on the artist's work in Art and Architecture Room 109&

Friday March 7: 1:00-2:00pm, lecture "Contemporary Art in Latin America," Hodges Library Auditorium.

The Arts at Pellissippi State: Student Honors Recital

Pellissippi State Community College’s Student Honors Recital will feature the musical stylings of 18 students. The recital is at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, in the Clayton Performing Arts Center on the college’s Hardin Valley Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road. The community is invited. The event is free, but donations will be accepted at the door for the Pellissippi State Foundation on behalf of the Music Scholarship Fund.

The Knoxville Writers' Guild presents "Of Hills and Rivers: Cherokee Women Writers" for its Thursday, March 6 meeting.
The event, which will be open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. at the Laurel Theater, at the corner of Laurel Avenue and 16th Street in Fort Sanders. A $2 donation is requested at the door. The building is handicapped accessible. Additional parking is available at Redeemer Church of Knoxville, 1642 Highland Ave.

Pellissippi State: Digital Workflow Lecture

Pellissippi State Community College will host R. Mac Holbert, the co-founder of Nash Editions and The Image Collective and an expert on digital workflow, at a lecture presentation on Thursday, March 6. Holbert discusses digital workflow 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Goins Building Auditorium on the Hardin Valley Campus, 10915 Hardin Valley Road. The event is free and is open to the community.
